Based on her studies with Sonia Moore of “The American Stanislavski Theater,” with Sharon Chatten of “The Actors Studio”, in NYC, and her work as a professional actor in Theater and Film, Elizabeth teaches students the following in her classes: A Cold Reading technique, using the five W’s to prepare for a cold reading, or to set up an Improvisation; The Fourth Wall; Relaxation and Sense memory exercises; Building a character from the inside out, and Monologue and/or Scene Study.

biography

Elizabeth D’Onofrio began her studies in New York City with Sonia Moore (Moscow Art Theater) at the American Stanislavsky Theater. She continued her studies with Sharon Chatten (The Actors Studio and renowned acting coach of film actors in Los Angeles) alongside fellow actors Mathew Modine; her brother, Vincent D’Onofrio; Marg Helgenberger; and Ben Stiller.

Elizabeth D’Onofrio is a professional film actor (Simple Things, Dear Angry, Household Saints, The Whole Wide World, Ace Ventura II, and The Velocity of Gary) and Off-Broadway theater actor (American debut of Luigi Pirandello’s, The Life I Gave You, and originated role of Sissy in Timing to name a few).

Elizabeth has also recently produced two short films (Waiting for Jilly and The Chocolate Fetish) in which she also acted in. Most recently she wrote, directed, produced, and acted in the short film, Awaken The Dawn.
